Cait Gast founded WID at the height of the pandemic in the Spring of 2020. After quarantining at home for several weeks, Cait recognized the impact that an environment has on emotions and wellbeing and her business plan was solidified.

 She received her Bachelor of Communications degree from University of Puget Sound and a Masters Certification of Interior Design from Heritage-Seattle. Within her family of architects and builder professionals, Cait grew up surrounded by the community of art, design and entrepreneurship.

​In the past three years, WID's work has been featured in Portland's Home Builder Association magazine and has worked on a variety of residential and commercial projects in the Pacific Northwest. Cait is also an active member of the Portland Interior Design Society-Portland, OR.
